For decades, North Shore youth learned to dance at monthly dance lessons, and afterwards, socialized at local restaurants and ice cream shops. Legendary women ran these dance schools, but when they retired, the tradition ended. Miss Kay’s Dance School has brought back this tradition for a new generation of youth. Held in an elegant setting, Miss Kay’s establishes an ambiance conducive to learning social dance and proper decorum.

Your child will encounter many occasions when being a strong dancer will be a great asset. As some of life’s most special occasions include dancing, the ability to dance can greatly affect how much they enjoy these events and who they meet. You want your child to be a confident dancer at proms, debutant balls, weddings, galas and other special events.

Particular emphasis is placed on the swing because it is a popular and versatile dance. We focus on helping young men develop a strong lead and young ladies to follow with grace.

You only have one chance to make a first impression. Proper social skills are as important as good dance steps. Therefore, key aspects of etiquette are reinforced so students can put their best foot forward.
